“Segment and shells” is a construction principle using tube and heating elbows to be welded.
Reusing standard elements allowed us to create and manufacture a series of simple, functional and low-cost objects, used as furniture for the Homecore showroom, a fashion house in Paris.
Thanks to the simplicity of the process, we manufactured everything on site with a minimum of tools, a saw, and a welding station.
This project is representative of our approach as designers in its economic aspect. Our knowledge of manufacturing processes and our experience with semi-finished products allow us to integrate economic concerns from the very first sketches of the creation phase.
